Our Instructors
Christophe Nurit
Christophe is the Chief Instructor of Kali Majapahit in the D.C. area. He received his Kadua Guro certification from Punong Guro and Founder Fred Evrard in September 2021.
Christophe was first introduced to Kali Majapahit in May 2015 after moving to Singapore from the U.S. He felt in love with the art and its sincere approach to contribute to the positive development of its students.
Christophe has been fascinated by and has been studying martial arts for most of his life. Early training in Karate Shotokan, Wushu and Viet-Vo-Dao during his childhood in France, a few years of Chayon-Ryu (under GhoSaNim Robert McLain in TX). Beside his continued training in Kali Majapahit, Christophe is also studying traditional Pencak Silat under Ka Wona Sumantri and his brother Ka Rendy from Silat Martial Arts Academy in Rockville, MD.
Mattis Nurit
Mattis (far right on picture) received his Kadua Guro certification from Punong Guro and Founder Fred Evrard in September 2021.
Mattis is an Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.) certified in Maryland and a volunteer at a local fire station in Maryland.
